Last night the Cadets took part in a mini exercise as confirmation of all they’d learned in the first module of their Fieldcraft training – this included cam & concealment, judging distances, and movement in the field.

On Sunday 16th May the Squadron competed in the Wing Athletics Competition. The Cadets did extremely well and we retained the trophy for the 2nd year.

Last month the Squadron went to the Fly Be training centre to have a go at the Dash 8 simulators.

Recently cadets (and staff!) from 424 Squadron took part in the first Squadron Organised parachute course at the home of the Army Parachute Association, Netheravon!

The course consisted of a full days training on the Saturday culminating in our first static line jump! Then a refresher course on the Sunday morning followed by our second jump.

The course was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and even though everyone was nervous at some point everyone jumped! Well done Guys & Girls!

Thanks to Nick from the Royal Engineers for helping us out, and Rich and Steve our mega instructors (and Dave our refresher instructor!).
