We have uploaded the cadet consent forms for Exercise Barton Warrior, if you have not already returned one, print it out and return it, completed, to the TTF staff on Tuesday night.

Some of the activities we are doing in June include, a visit to a Royal Navy ship, the Wing 5-a-side tournament, and a Squadron Fieldcraft Exercise.

Over the weekend just gone (9th-10th May 2009) the staff of 424 had a little time on their hands and decided the Squadron needed a slight spring clean. Little did they know they would be uncovering secrets lost since the dawn of the ATC, or maybe just since the last cleanup.

The NCOs mess is an important part of Squadron tradition, by giving the Cadet Non-Commissioned Officers (Corporals / Sergeants / Flight Sergeants and Warrant Officers) their own room which they are responsible for it helps to bond the NCOs together as a team, making for a tight knit Squadron. Also, much to the NCOs enjoyment, Staff have to knock on the door of their mess as the NCOs do on the Staff mess.

**Updated** On Saturday 2nd May 2009 the 424 Squadron team competed in the Hants and IoW Wing Athletics Championships. The team did extremely well, coming 1st whilst 2428 Squadron from Hedge End came 2nd and a good time was had by all.

**Update - After some confusion the points were re-tallied and we came 1st! Congratulations Team, Hedge End came 2nd in the end.**
